Located in the heart of downtown Chattanooga’s Central Business District, Community Pie is bringing both Neapolitan and New York Style pizzas to the South.  The dough is made fresh on site, the pizzas are cooked in wood-fire ovens that were brought in from Italy, and the sauce is spiced well, with a bit of a bite. Tip:  a bowl of the sauce comes with the garlic roll appetizer, or you can just ask your server for some to dip your pizza crusts in.  Speaking of pizza crusts, Community Pie pizzas are all thin crust, crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside, just the way it’s done in both New York and Italy.

You can order pizza by the slice, or pick up a whole pie in two different sizes.  Pasta and salads are also available; this is one of the few places that you can get kale in town! Of course, the star of the show here is the pizza, and you might regret it if you don’t just go for the good stuff.  To that end, there are tons of veggie options, and the produce here is locally sourced whenever possible and always extremely fresh!

What goes best with pizza?  Beer, of course!  Community Pie has 40 craft beers on draft and has even more in cans and bottles.  There’s also a fully-stocked bar, complete with homemade drinking vinegars.  Yes, you read that right.  Drinking vinegars.

The best part of dinner is dessert, and Community Pie doesn’t bother with run-of-the-mill outsourced frozen pastries.  Instead, they serve up made-from-scratch gelato from Milk & Honey, another Chattanooga restaurant just up the road on the Northshore.  The flavors change based on the freshest ingredients available, so you do have to ask your server what your options are.
