Cherry Creek Trail
Pick up along Speer Road
The popular Cherry Creek Trail is a multi-use concrete path following Cherry Creek through the city of Denver. The path can be picked up anywhere along Speer Road, and ample parking is generally available, although some street parking may be required. The lit path is frequented by cyclists who use the route to commute across the city, but it’s available for pedestrians as well. The path offers beautiful views of Cherry Creek, with ample opportunities to sit down and enjoy the environment. The creek offers a pleasant breeze that can help keep you cool during summer months when the sun is high overhead. Make sure to bring your own water, as there are limited facilities along the path. If you have a minute (and it’s warm out, obviously), stop to take your shoes off and wade into Cherry Creek for a refreshing and peaceful cool down. With over 40 miles of pathways available, the Cherry Creek Trail should be easily accessible from nearly anywhere in Denver.
