Sloan’s Lake Park
1700 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO
Open dawn to dusk daily
Located on Denver’s west side, Sloan’s Lake Park offers a multi-use concrete path approximately 2.5 miles in length with pristine views of both the surrounding mountains and the city of Denver. The path is split into two lanes and is frequented by both runners and cyclists. Real bathrooms and available water fountains are just two of the noticeable perks of this peaceful space, which is within walking distance of many local restaurants and shops. Expect the park to be full of people no matter what time of day you visit, but street parking and parking lot spaces are plentiful. The large lake invites geese, so if you’re afraid of birds (like me!) this might not be your spot. However, between the welcoming surrounding neighborhoods and the substantial length of the park loop, Sloan’s Lake Park offers a viable option if you’re looking to rack up some more substantial mileage.
