The Dahlem Center is comprised of nearly 300 acres and contains 5 miles of trails that provide a glimpse view of the diverse habitats that once resided in Michigan. The land is pretty even and elevation almost constant. In order to preserve the natural habitats found at the Center, only walkers and hikers are allowed; they do not allow bicycles, pets, running, or any type of motorized vehicles on the trails. The Dahlem Center is an educational center that has posted signs throughout the trails to help you learn about the different trees and ecology systems. Parking is free and there are no entrance fees. Special events are held throughout the year, including paddling outings and scavenger hunts. The Dahlem Center is a beautiful place to get in a walk or hike while learning something about Michigan’s natural environment!
