Big Papio Trail

6802 Harrison St, La Vista, NE

(402) 444-5900

Open daily

Stretching nearly 10 miles through Omaha, the Big Papio Trail is a concrete multi-use path that runs through four parks. The parks offer available parking, restrooms, and water fountains, making the trail very convenient for long runs, as it also connects to the Keystone Trail. Some portions of the trail, particularly those running through the parks, are shaded, while others, including those along the Papio River, are not. Cyclists should be aware of turns, particularly when approaching parks. There is some elevation change along the route, although it is not as hilly as much of Omaha. The trail is clearly marked and has mile markers along the route. Pets are ok on a leash, but be aware that Frisbee golf is played at Seymour Smith Park. For those looking for a fun family activity to keep the kids entertained during a workout, check out the Frisbee rental box at Seymour Smith Park or the great playground system!
