The Bike Rack is a behemoth full service bike and repair shop with locations in both Lincoln and Omaha. Don’t let the somewhat overwhelming size intimidate you – the staff is friendly, accommodating, and welcoming, no matter where you are with your cycling. The store offers children’s bikes and all types of adult bikes, including mountain, hybrid, road, and special needs. Tri bikes are offered seasonally. Bike Rack has the biggest selection of bicycles, gear, and apparel in Omaha, so if you need something for your long ride, you’re sure to find it here. The store also has a wide variety of bikes available for rental, including hybrid, road, and mountain bikes from Trek, Cannondale, Scott, Surly, Haro, and Electro; tandem bikes are even available! Rentals are available by the day or week, depending on the length of your stay.¬†For those looking for a great service department, Bike Rack has you covered. Employees are highly trained with a Shimano education, and all of the mechanics have a lengthy tenure with the store. Because Bike Rack sells so many different types of bikes, they also know how to fix them all – convenient!

The atmosphere at Bike Rack is extremely welcoming for newer owners ands cyclists while also being accommodating for experienced riders. The store offers a number of group rides during the cycling season, which typically lasts from Spring until Late October. All rides have a no drop policy and are typically on the slower side – around 15 mph. Maintenance classes are also available and can be tailored to the individual needs of each cyclist.

  • Mountain bike rides are held each Thursday night and run from late spring through the end of September.
  • A Sunday morning ride is held through the end of October.
  • A women’s only Wednesday morning ride runs through the end of October.
  • Indoor rides are held Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings during the winter, but cyclists must bring their own bikes and trainers.
  • Maintenance and learning classes are held the first and third Thursday of each month at 6 pm year round.
