Thunderbird Conservation Park Website

Located north of Phoenix near Glendale, Thunderbird Conservation Park boasts a trail system with something for everyone. Difficulty varies from trail to trail, with the option to take a mostly flat walk or hike up a mountain, and difficulty levels are listed on the website. There is plenty of elevation change to be found, and the trails vary in technicality but can be very rocky. Mountain bikers, hikers, runners, dogs, and horses are all welcome on the trails, many of which offer beautiful panoramic views of the city and lots of opportunities for photographs. While the main trail can get busy, even during the middle of the day, some of the side trails are frequented less often. There is no shade to be found on the trails, but bathrooms, water fountains, picnic tables, and parking areas are available at the center of the park.  More than 15 miles of multi-use trails are available for cyclists, runners, hikers, and equestrians. Thunderbird Conservation Park is a beautiful place to get in a workout while also enjoying some fantastic views of Phoenix!
