Thunderbird Paseo Park
6011 W Thunderbird Road, Glendale, AZ
Open daily sunrise to sunset
Asphalt multi-use paths can be difficult to find in the Phoenix metro area, but Thunderbird Paseo Park offers a lovely asphalt trail along the Arizona Canal in Glendale. The greenbelt weaves through several playgrounds and along the water, with bathrooms, water fountains, and benches found at the “mini parks” along the route. A large grassy area is located between the path and the creek with some single track trail, which is ideal for runners looking for a softer surface. Cyclists, runners, dogs, and horses are all welcome along the trail, which is well used throughout the day without being overly crowded. With 4 miles of multi-use paths that connect to Skunk Creek Linear Park for an additional 3.5 miles of trails, the park is a viable option for a longer run. The benefit of parking, water, and bathrooms along the route make Thunderbird Paseo Park a convenient choice for a workout in the Phoenix area!
