In high school, I saw Ironman Hawaii on TV and distinctly remember seeing a 70-year-old man cross the finish line with pride, arms in the air. It made me cry. That was among the moments that sparked my interest in endurance sports. A few years later, I hopped on a plane with my bike and started cycling around Europe. A few years after that, I started training for my first triathlon and went on to complete a handful of triathlons and running races. I am also proud to be a finisher of a 5K open water swim! Nowadays, I’m wanting to dabble into trail running, and I also recently gave snowshoeing a try!
Aside from that, having lived abroad and traveled extensively, I am also passionate about providing international travel opportunities for youth who don’t have the chance to step outside of their neighborhoods. I do this through the nonprofit Atlantic Impact that I co-founded so they can experience the world too! Find Atlantic Impact on twitter and facebook!
