These are fun Halloween events put on by local running store, Runner’s World every October at Turkey Mountain. They include people chasing you dressed up as Zombies and spooky props scattered throughout the course. There is a four mile trail run in the dark for those who are brave enough to face what’s in the woods. Make sure and bring your lawn chairs for the after party which includes an outdoor viewing of scary movies! The entire thing kicks off with a costume contest for all ages!
There is a great overall review and pics of this event from last year at Trailszombie100 blog.

There are a couple running races that Tulsa holds dear and this definitely one of them. While it’s not Halloween specifically it’s usually held in the month of October and therefore people take the opportunity to wear costumes (which is awesome) giving it a Halloween feel. The race has been around since the 1970s and attracts not only a very large participant crowd from Tulsa but from all over the world. There is a 2K fun run, a 5K and the main event is the 15K. Lots of local running groups and clubs train specifically for the Tulsa Run such as the Tulsa Track workouts. The Tulsa Run is always a fun course and is just a fun energy to be apart of, if you’re in the area you don’t want to miss it.
The local newspaper, The Tulsa World has a nice gallery of pictures taken at the Tulsa Run for a good idea of the costumes I mentioned people wearing. A couple hotels worth mentioning here in addition to the host hotel listed on the run’s website are: Downtown Courtyard Marriott, Fairfield Inn & Suites located in the Brady district of downtown and The Campbell Hotel. The locally owned Campbell hotel is really cool with every room having a different Oklahoma theme, it’s located close enough to the border of downtown that you should be able to get to and from downtown for the race start easily. You could even run from there for your warm up!
