Holmes Run Trail
4001 Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria, VA
This concrete and asphalt path is 4.25 miles in length and runs through Alexandria in Northern Virginia. Bathrooms, parking, water, and trashcans can be found at Cameron Run Regional Park – a large park with an abundance of family activities, including miniature golf, batting cages, and a water park. In order to access the trail from the park, turn right out of the parking lot and continue past the animal shelter to the fork in the sidewalk and turn right. Access is also available from the multi-use path along Eisenhower Avenue. The trail is a shared use path for bicyclists and pedestrians and can get crowded during rush hour, like many trails in the D.C. area. The Holmes Run Trail runs along Holmes Run Creek and is mostly shaded, while the multi-use path along Eisenhower Avenue that leads to the trail is not.
