A boutique sandwich shop located near Chinatown, SUNdeVICH prides itself on delivering international flavors through its menu. Each lunch sandwich is named after the global city that its flavors echo, although breakfast sandwiches and salads are also available. I was struck by the very unique proteins offered by SUNdeVICH; Russian salad, lamb, bratwurst, chorizo, and beef tongue are just some of the less traditional options. I sampled the Capri, which featured fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, pesto, basil, and a balsamic reduction served on a freshly baked hoagie roll. SUNdeVICH is definitely not your traditional sandwich shop, but that’s part of the appeal. The food has a strong flavor, and there’s enough variety on the menu to keep you coming back throughout your trip.
